Gas market update: gas exchange price volatility has continued since March
Following the US and Israeli strikes on Iran, daily TTF gas prices rose rapidly from around €30/MWh to €50/MWh. From the beginning of March, daily prices ranged between €47 and €61/MWh until 8 April, when the ceasefire brought them down to €45/MWh. Since then, daily prices have ranged between €39 and €46/MWh.

Scheduled maintenance shutdown at Mäntsälän Biovoima on 13–27 April
The biogas production plant in Mäntsälä will undergo a scheduled annual maintenance shutdown on 13–27 April. During the shutdown, we will carry out preventive maintenance to ensure the plant’s safe and uninterrupted operation.

A new carbon market is emerging in Finland: Auris launches industrial use of biogenic carbon dioxide
Auris Energy will begin capturing the carbon dioxide generated during biogas production at its Mäntsälä biogas plant and supplying it for use in concrete manufacturing. Carbon dioxide deliveries will begin in early 2027.

Investment decision for the Säkylä biogas plant postponed – project progressing as planned
We have applied to the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment for support for biogenic carbon dioxide capture at our planned biogas plant in Säkylä. As a result, our investment decision on the project will be postponed.

The gas security of supply levy increased on 1 April 2026 – our price lists have been updated
Parliament has approved a legislative amendment that increased the energy tax on gas from 1 April 2026. The change applies to the security of supply levy, which rose from 0.084 cents to 0.10 cents per megawatt-hour, excluding VAT and based on the lower calorific value.

Environmental impact assessment for the Säkylä biogas plant has begun
The environmental impact assessment (EIA) procedure for our planned biogas plant in Säkylä and its associated biogas pipeline began on 19 March 2026.
