Parliament has approved a legislative amendment that increased the energy tax on gas from 1 April 2026. The change applies to the security of supply levy, which rose from 0.084 cents to 0.10 cents per megawatt-hour, excluding VAT and based on the lower calorific value.
The security of supply levy is statutory and funds society’s preparedness for disruptions and emergencies.
We have updated all our natural gas and biogas distribution price lists to reflect the change. No action is required from our customers.
