Sustainability
Energy solutions that support our customers' emissions reductions and responsible business.

Sustainability at Auris
Energy directly affects our customers’ production, costs and emissions. For us, sustainability means above all producing and distributing energy reliably, developing lower-emission solutions and helping customers use energy more efficiently.
We are also improving our own operations. We reduce our emissions, look after our people’s safety and wellbeing, and develop our governance and risk management.
Sustainability as part of our business
At Auris, sustainability is not separate from business. It shapes the energy we produce, how we develop energy infrastructure, how we serve our customers and how we manage our own operations.

The environment and energy solutions
We reduce emissions from our operations by developing our energy production and infrastructure and increasing the share of renewable and electricity-based solutions in our business.
We design energy production around customers’ actual needs and optimise systems throughout their operation. Our goal is to produce the required energy as efficiently as possible and use it when it makes sense for production.
Our gas distribution network serves industry, properties and other customers in Southern Finland. We develop it for the long term and maintain its security of supply.
We are increasing renewable gas production and developing electricity-based energy services. These solutions combine technologies such as electricity, heat pumps, heat recovery and other ways to reduce energy consumption.

People and safety
Skilled people are the foundation of Auris. We develop our working environment, skills and employee experience, and maintain occupational safety.
Safety is essential to energy production and distribution. We improve it through proactive work, safety observations and collaboration with our employees and contractors.

Good governance
Responsible business requires transparent decision-making, effective risk management and clear operating principles.
We develop our assessment of ESG risks and opportunities as part of business management and regularly monitor progress on sustainability.
Our whistleblowing channel provides employees and other stakeholders with an anonymous way to report suspected misconduct or unethical behaviour.
