At its inaugural meeting, Suomen Biokierto ja Biokaasu ry (SBB) elected Auris Energy’s Biogas Business Manager, Jani Hautaluoma, to continue as Chair of its Board for the 2026–2027 term.
Hautaluoma has chaired the association since spring 2025. His continued tenure supports the long-term development of the biogas sector at a time when its importance in the energy transition is growing rapidly.
“The biogas sector is no longer just a promise for the future. It is now growing significantly and establishing its place as a backbone of Finland’s energy system and circular economy,” Hautaluoma says in a press release published on the association’s website.
According to Hautaluoma, the association’s priorities for the coming term will include security of supply, promoting the circular economy and the use of biogenic carbon dioxide.
