Hans Välimäki’s new Säm and Masu restaurants cook with domestic biogas

Hans Välimäki’s new Säm and Masu restaurants use renewable biogas in their kitchens. Vespa, which previously occupied the premises, cooked with natural gas, but the new restaurants wanted to use renewable, environmentally friendly biogas produced in Finland.

Several Helsinki restaurants already use biogas for heating, cooking or both, and the number is growing. Domestic biogas is an excellent choice for modern and traditional restaurants alike. In Finland, Suomen Kaasuenergia Oy supplies it and Gasum Oy produces it.
