Originally from Kouvola, Jarkko Kuningas moved into construction in 2009, specialising in building services and energy. In recent years, he has worked in technical sales and project sales. He joined Suomen Kaasuenergia as Sales Manager in April, with a strong focus on heating solutions, particularly hybrid systems.
Kuningas is responsible for Päijät-Häme and Kymenlaakso. “I cover all customer groups, gas sales and gas connections in my area, as well as heating solutions. These range from traditional gas boiler systems to future heat-pump-based solutions, where gas covers peak heating demand or domestic hot water production,” he explains.
Biogas delivers power with environmental benefits
Kuningas sees gas as a versatile and convenient form of energy. “Gas has many uses, from heating to industrial processes. It delivers high output quickly, and there is no need to store it when it is available through a pipeline whenever required. I consider gas a cost-effective energy source,” he says.
He sees particular potential in biogas. “Combining a heat pump with biogas, for example, allows us to create energy-efficient, environmentally friendly solutions. Biogas can provide completely clean heating without compromising efficiency,” Kuningas says.
