Auris Energy strengthens its role in driving energy sector change as Anni Sarvaranta takes over as Group CEO on 15 January. Sarvaranta, who holds a Master of Science in Engineering, is an internal appointment, having previously led the gas businesses and served as Group Deputy CEO.
Anni Sarvaranta succeeds Mika Paloranta, who will move to a new role outside Auris in January. Auris’s Deputy CEO and Managing Director of subsidiary Auris Energiapalvelut will remain Perttu Lahtinen.
Sarvaranta has extensive experience in energy business management, development and strategy renewal. Her appointment as CEO was a unanimous decision by the Group Board.
“I have closely followed Anni’s work and am confident in her ability to continue developing our company towards a fossil-free energy offering. I am particularly pleased with our strategy of developing leadership talent internally,” Auris Board Chair Stig Gustavson says of the appointment.
Auris Energy is a Finnish energy group that sells and distributes natural gas and biogas and provides energy as a service. The group owns a majority stake in a biogas plant in Mäntsälä. Geothermal energy pioneer QHeat is also an associate company.
Auris Energy’s transformation continues
Under Anni Sarvaranta’s leadership, Auris Energy will continue its transformation into a versatile, service-oriented energy company. This includes increasing the share of carbon-neutral energy in the group’s business. Its solutions include renewable gas, geothermal heat, electric boilers, heat pumps and a wide range of services based on improving energy efficiency.
“We want to deliver genuinely measurable benefits for our customers and be their most reliable energy partner,” Anni Sarvaranta says. “Auris has a diverse, evolving offering and a skilled team with a great team spirit. It will be a pleasure to move the company forward with them. I look forward to continuing our shared transformation journey in my new role.”
Sarvaranta previously worked at Gasgrid Finland Oy as Operational and Commercial Director of gas transmission, leading strategy renewal and launching the company’s research and development activities.
Earlier roles included Development Director at Baltic Connector Oy and Development and Strategy Manager at Helen Oy. Anni holds a Master of Science in Energy Technology.
