Niilo Rossi, who joined Suomen Kaasuenergia as Sales Manager in early April, is responsible for restaurant customers and construction-site heating customers in the Helsinki metropolitan area. He is also involved in projects relating to electricity, heat and steam production. With a master’s degree in industrial engineering and management, Rossi also has a passion for marketing and brings that perspective to the gas industry.
Rossi has experience of off-grid solutions too. Before joining Suomen Kaasuenergia, he worked in project sales involving natural gas, biogas and LNG across Finland. Before that, his roles included industrial wholesale.
Market opening brings opportunities
What particularly interests Rossi about gas is the transformation of the energy market. “Energy production methods are constantly changing and developing, with new innovations emerging. Gas is clearly part of the future, and the market opening will bring many new opportunities,” he says. “Here in the north, we need ways to produce electricity and heat, and gas is an excellent solution.”
A keen cook himself, Rossi also praises gas in restaurant kitchens. “Gas is an environmentally friendly, convenient and quick option. It can also be used in patio heaters, for example,” he says.
