Gasum has announced, stating that Gazprom Export will stop gas deliveries to Finland tomorrow, 21 May, at 7 am. This will not affect Suomen Kaasuenergia’s operations, and our gas deliveries to customers will continue as normal.
We source almost all our gas through the Baltic countries, from where it continues to reach Finland as usual. We are actively monitoring the situation and would inform customers immediately if it were to change. Please follow our website for updates.
The end of Russian gas deliveries will not affect SK’s gas deliveries
We emphasise that gas will continue to flow normally to Suomen Kaasuenergia’s customers after tomorrow. We do not expect this situation to change.
However, if the situation were to change later and we had to restrict gas deliveries to customers, we would safeguard supplies for customers paying for mandatory stockpiling for as long as possible. This customer group includes heating customers, households using gas, gas for transport and restaurant customers.
If there were not enough gas for all our customers, we would therefore first restrict deliveries to industrial and process customers if necessary.
We emphasise that this is not necessary now, and we do not expect it to become necessary. The end of Russian gas deliveries will not affect Suomen Kaasuenergia’s gas sales or deliveries in any way.
