4 Purpose of processing personal data

Personal data is processed for the following purposes:
Managing customer relationships, gas contracts and gas deliveries; resolving disruptions and gas disconnections; checking credit information; invoicing and debt collection; notices and newsletters.

5 Information held in the register

Personal data is collected from customers of Auris Kaasunjakelu Oy, Auris Kaasuenergia Oy and Auris Energiapalvelut Oy. These companies and any service companies providing customer-related services collect and process the information. The personal data collected comprises the customer’s name, address, billing address, telephone number, email address, personal identity code and estimated annual consumption.

6 Regular sources of information

Customer information is primarily collected from the customer. Where necessary, it is supplemented with information from the Population Information System and Suomen Asiakastieto Oy.

7 Regular disclosure of information

Elenia Oy provides customer service and invoicing for Auris Energy. Customer information is therefore regularly disclosed to Elenia personnel carrying out these tasks. These Elenia Oy personnel also collect and maintain customer information in the register.

Customer information is disclosed within the Group to Auris Kaasunjakelu Oy, Auris Kaasuenergia Oy and Auris Energiapalvelut Oy. Where necessary, it is disclosed to a debt collection company for debt recovery.

8 Transfers outside the EU or EEA

Customer information is not disclosed to other parties or outside the EU.

9 Principles for protecting the register

The customer register and the hardware used to process it are located in restricted-access data centres. Information is regularly backed up against disruptions. Physical materials, such as contract documents, are stored in a locked fireproof cabinet.

Access to customer information is limited to employees who need to process it as part of their duties. Those processing the information are bound by confidentiality obligations. The information is stored in a system with appropriate and compliant access controls and security.

10 Right of access

Data subjects have the right to know what information about them is stored in the personal data register, or that no information about them is held. A written and signed request must be sent to Auris Energia Oy’s customer service by email to asiakaspalvelu@aurisenergia.fi or by letter to the customer service postal address.

11 Right to rectification

Data subjects have the right to have inaccurate information about them in the register corrected. Requests must be sent by email to asiakaspalvelu@aurisenergia.fi or by letter to the customer service postal address.

12 Other rights relating to the processing of personal data

Data subjects have the right to prohibit the use of their personal data for direct marketing. The request must be sent by email to asiakaspalvelu@aurisenergia.fi or by letter to the customer service address.
