A new product for heating detached homes
From 1 August 2022, we are offering customers who heat their detached homes with gas a second pricing option alongside the current SK index-based pricing. Our new Kotikulta Pörssi product is based directly on the Dutch gas exchange’s one-month TTF Front Month price.
For the current SK index-based Kotikulta product, we fix TTF exchange prices over the three months preceding the gas delivery month. This allows the SK index to smooth out exchange price fluctuations and behave more steadily than pricing based on the one-month Front Month exchange price. The SK index-based product has worked well and protected our customers from the largest price fluctuations in the current challenging market.
However, pricing based on the one-month TTF Front Month price is widely used in the market, which is why we want to offer it as an alternative to our customers. Contact our customer service if you are interested in switching from your current SK index-based Kotikulta product to Kotikulta Pörssi.
