All sellers of gas or energy produced using gas must store fuel equivalent to a certain proportion of their total sales in mandatory stocks for exceptional situations.
The cost of this mandatory stockholding has risen because of last year’s gas market conditions and the energy crisis caused by the war in Ukraine. We must therefore increase the stockholding charge to our customers from 1 July 2023.
The price increase takes effect on 1 July
The mandatory stockholding charge to our customers was previously €1.56/MWh and will be €3.31/MWh from the beginning of July. For some customers, this is a separate component in the gas or heat product price list; for others, it is included directly in the product price.
We will update your gas and heat product price lists to reflect the change. The new lists will be available on our website from 1 July 2023 and from our customer service team on request.
We have also sent a separate notice to customers covered by the stockholding obligation.
