Jussi-Pekka “JP” Kuivala

Before joining Auris, I spent almost 20 years in specialist and management roles in energy consulting. My strongest areas are evaluating energy investments and developing new energy business. I have extensive experience of the Finnish heating market from the perspectives of energy companies, industry, municipalities and the property sector. I have also developed low-carbon heat network projects in the UK and renewable energy projects in Asia.

Definitely building something new and working with customers. Exploring new business opportunities is exciting. The most rewarding moment, though, is when a customer is happy with our solution and service.

The electrification of industrial energy production will continue, bringing both emissions reductions and cost savings. The benefits increase when production can operate flexibly and participate in reserve and balancing energy markets. Flexibility will become the new normal in industry. Industrial operators benefit financially while also making a significant contribution to society: they enable efficient use of weather-dependent renewable energy, such as wind and solar, and market-based balancing of the electricity system.

I actively follow energy market developments and the progress of the green transition. I value agility and a customer-focused approach. Those are also reasons why I am at Auris. Being a pioneer is part of our DNA, and things happen quickly here.
