Auris Kaasunjakelu is acquiring Gasum’s natural gas retail and heating businesses in its network area. The transaction is expected to be completed by mid-February.
Both businesses will operate through companies separate from gas distribution. The sales company will take the traditional name Suomen Kaasuenergia Oy, already familiar to some customers. Heating solutions will be provided by Auris Energiaratkaisut Oy. We are investing strongly in natural gas and biogas sales and in developing heating solutions. Auris believes in the competitiveness of both natural gas and biogas as clean fuels with superior performance for many applications.
Auris Kaasunjakelu Oy owns and operates gas distribution networks in 13 Finnish municipalities. It was established in June 2015 after Gasum sold the shares in Gasum Paikallisjakelu Oy and Helsingin Kaupunkikaasu Oy to SL Capital Partners, a subsidiary of the UK-based Standard Life Investments Ltd.
