Lieutenant General (ret.) Arto Räty becomes Chair of Auris Energy’s Board

Auris Energy’s long-serving Board Chair, Finnish honorary mining counsellor Stig Gustavson has stepped down. Gustavson has played a pivotal role in Auris Energy’s growth and development since the group transferred to its current owners in 2015.

Gustavson resigned as Chair at the Annual General Meeting in March. The company’s owner has appointed a new Chair: the current Vice Chair and long-serving Board member, Lieutenant General (ret.) Arto Räty.

Räty’s extensive experience in senior Defence Forces roles and the energy sector makes him an excellent choice. His roles have included Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Defence, senior positions at Fortum and Board memberships at several energy companies.

Stig Gustavson will remain a Board member until June to ensure a smooth transition and continue supporting the company’s development.

Thank you, Stig, and welcome, Arto!
