The first pressure-reduction cabinets have received a fresh coat of colour and a more cheerful look.
Cabinets brightened with Love paintings can now be found in Toukola, Vuosaari and Meilahti in Helsinki. There is also a cabinet full of love next to Helsinki Cathedral.
“The Love paintings are intended as a counterweight to the hatred and frowning in the world,” explains graffiti artist Jouni “Psyke” Väänänen. Psyke has painted around 30 Love pieces in just over a year, and the cabinets in Suomen Kaasuenergia’s colours are a fine continuation of the project.
Psyke finished the cabinets painted so far before the first snowfall. More pressure-reduction cabinets will receive paintings in the spring.
