Investment decision for the Säkylä biogas plant postponed – project progressing as planned

We have applied to the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment for support for biogenic carbon dioxide capture at our planned biogas plant in Säkylä. As a result, our investment decision on the project will be postponed.

The biogas plant’s digestion process generates biogenic carbon dioxide, which we want to capture for industrial use.

We expect the Ministry’s funding decision to be completed by the end of this year.

The project is progressing as planned

The project and its environmental impact assessment process are progressing as planned while the funding application is being processed.

We have so far signed binding agreements for industrial and agricultural feedstocks equivalent to a total of 80 GWh.

We will provide further information as soon as the timetable for the funding decisions becomes clearer.
