I am responsible for the day-to-day operation, efficiency and development of the Mäntsälä biogas production plant. I ensure that processes run smoothly and reliably and that investment projects are implemented.

Could you tell us about your background and expertise?
I have a strong background in the process industry and team management. In previous roles, I have been responsible for operating, maintaining, optimising and developing biogas and bioethanol processes. I have also helped develop processes for the safe handling, rendering harmless and proper disposal of hazardous chemicals.
What motivates you in your work?
The biogas plant is part of the circular economy and advances renewable energy production. I find my work meaningful because it supports sustainable development. High-quality production and environmentally responsible operations guide everything I do.
How do you ensure efficient production and growth at the plant?
Ensuring efficient production and growth requires sustained work to identify process bottlenecks and minimise their impact. It is also essential to keep developing both the skills of our staff and my own expertise, as these play a decisive role in production efficiency and growth.
What excites you about the biogas industry?
The biogas industry is growing strongly and constantly developing, which makes it very exciting. Every day brings new, interesting challenges, and the industry plays an important role in both strengthening security of supply and advancing sustainable development.
