Making steam production easier for Marimekko
The Unikko, Kaivo and Lokki patterns are printed at Marimekko House in Herttoniemi, Helsinki. Textile printing needs steam, which Marimekko has long produced using renewable biogas.
In 2023, Marimekko chose Auris as its energy partner. We took responsibility for the factory’s steam production as a service, allowing Marimekko’s staff to focus on their own work.
Steam as a service
Auris took over steam production using the existing gas boiler. Biogas was already in use before the service agreement.
The service includes steam supply, remote process monitoring, round-the-clock alarm monitoring, and regular equipment maintenance and servicing.
